Heat Transfer Printing with Lorien Stern

Sold out
Saturday, September 21, 2019, 11 - 2 PM
The Line Hotel 3515 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90010

Join Lorien Stern as she walks you through the process of using heat transfers to decorate blank textiles. Heat transfers are a great option for individuals who want to get into the world of printing on textiles (tote bags, tees, sweatshirts, etc), but do not have the facilities or the know-how for traditional screen printing. The heat transfers are screen-printed designs that are adhered and embedded onto a fabric (cotton, canvas, polyester, etc) via a machine called a heat press. Lorien will show the process from idea to conception, from creating an image on paper to formatting the image on a computer, to making the image using a heat transfer to the physical end product. Then, using transfers pre-made by Lorien, each class participant will heat press and walk away with a custom tote bag (plus any additional garments you would like to bring) and all the info needed to start your own heat press operation.

Things to Note:
• Bring any garment or fabric item you would like to print on
• Bring a notebook and pen if you wish to take notes

You'll be getting:
• A blank tote bag to practice heat transferring with
• An array of heat-transferred pieces made during class (dependent upon what items you bring)

* If the workshop is sold out, make sure to subscribe in the box above and once the workshop comes back online you'll be the first to hear about it.
