Intro to Architecture with Wrk-Shp Studio

Sold out

Have you ever walked into a building and wondered how it was designed? Gain a new perspective and understanding of architecture through an immersive experience by participating in this Intro to architecture workshop! This workshop will offer an exercise in how to approach basic “architecture design” and go through a typical process of designing a model structure.

There will be a brief design lesson of significant LA architecture as well as a demo of 3D CAD and 3D Printing process. You will then design and build a model of your structure that you can take home with you along with a photo of your structure in the actual scene as well as a newfound knowledge in the world of modern architecture!

"Class was very informative and I really enjoyed creating my own design."

"This was such a great workshop for me because it made architecture accessible for a non-architect."

"I wasn't sure if it'd be architect specific but it was a great way to learn without intimidation."

Wrk-Shp Studio
Wrk-Shp Studio is located in downtown Los Angeles and is a collaborative design office between an architect, Ryan Upton & an architecture-and-clothing designer, Airi Isoda. wrk-shp projects range from buildings, clothing to small everyday objects, and everything in between. They often cross-pollinate disciplines by using materials found in architecture, like concrete and wood, to produce functional every day things both artful & useful - they have been featured on Monocle, Remodelista, and Hypebeast to name a few. Their architecture work includes residential projects, coffee shops, retail and office spaces.
