Work alongside prolific artist and designer, Chad Kouri as you cut and paste your way to making your very own collage works.
Focusing on everyday materials and utilizing ideas based in visual literacy and color theory, Chad will lead you through immersive collage based exercises that are designed to get your creative juices flowing from brainstorming, concept development, and idea generation. You’ll not only be unlocking your creativity, but, Chad’s exercises and techniques are adaptable to various creative professions including interior and graphic design, architecture, textile design, painting, and more. No previous experience necessary. Perfect for beginners and those in the creative professions. Apart from creating your work, you'll also get to take home Chad's 2018 calendar filled with his collage work.

Please arrive 15 minutes early and check in at the Poketo store inside The Line Hotel. Valet parking is available at the hotel at a reduced rate of $12 for workshop attendees. Otherwise, there is offsite street parking available nearby.

Striving to make art and creative problem solving more accessible and engaging to a general public, Chad Kouri is best known for a wide range of commercial and fine art projects that utilize semiotics and color theory to help develop a greater understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Chad has been a past visiting artist and workshop leader at prestigious institutions such as Bauhaus University (Weimar, Germany), Otis School of Art and Design (Los Angeles, CA), Pratt Institute (New York, NY), School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. He's been featured on notable art websites such as It’s Nice That, Sight Unseen, INSIDE/WITHIN, and most recently TheDesignKids.org.
