Coffee Brewing workshop with Tartine's Coffee Manufactory at Poketo Little Tokyo

Sold out
Learn the fundamentals of extraction, manual brewing, and coffee evaluation during this hands-on workshop, led by Matthew Jung-Quillen of Coffee Manufactory, San Francisco’s newest coffee roaster, born from Tartine Bakery and opening soon in downtown Los Angeles.

As attendees, you’ll work one on one with Matthew to learn the origins and technique of pour-over coffee, manually brewing coffee on the GINO dripper by notNeutral, and discussing concepts like extraction that result in the perfectly balanced cup.

You'll also discover how coffee professionals evaluate quality attributes of specialty coffee through the process of cupping - tasting and sampling a variety of different coffees and flavor profiles to find a coffee that’s right for you.

This coffee workshop will leave you with a deep understanding of the extraction and brewing technique, as well as an introduction to tasting and evaluating specialty coffee. All attendees will receive a complementary GINO dripper and filters, as well as a single origin bag of Coffee Manufactory. This class is for both beginners and coffee connoisseurs.

All materials are included in the workshop and light snacks and refreshments will be served. You’ll also receive a 15% off discount at Poketo Little Tokyo as well as all future workshops.
*Please arrive 15 minutes early and check in at the Poketo shop in Little Tokyo. Take the metro or street parking and paid parking is nearby.

If you are no longer able to attend, we are able to provide online store credit only if the cancellation is made more than one week prior to the course date.
