Become a cosmetic chemist and formulate your very own custom-made skincare blends using natural ingredients. Micaela and Dawn Marie Hoo, mother and daughter co-founders of Drifter Organics, will guide you through their process of blending together butter and oils to create moisturizers you can use in your everyday. Get creative in mixing together various ingredients to concoct one-of-a-kind skincare scented with a selection of essential oils to choose from.

In this workshop, you'll learn all about gut health, skin health, and how to choose the best ingredients for your skin type. Then, you'll put on your lab coats and formulate a body butter and face/body oil for your precious skin. This is the perfect introduction to natural skincare that will give you the skills to play an alchemist at home.

You will get to take home:
• One 2 oz body butter 
• One 2 fl oz face/body oil
• Instructions on how to make a body butter and face/body oil so you can try on your own
• The skills to play alchemist at home

Please Bring: 
• A pen and notebook if you want to take notes

Drifter Organics is founded by Micaela and Dawn Marie Hoo, mother-daughter duo based in Oakland. They started dabbling in natural skincare to treat Micaela's chronic illnesses and skin issues, they launched Drifter Organics as the skincare solution for anyone who doesn't want to put anything on their skin they wouldn't trust eating. Since launching Drifter in 2016 with a core collection of body butters, Micaela and Dawn Marie have expanded their line to include body and face oils and a lip balm.   • When you arrive at the brand new Poketo Project Space at the Row, a new community of independent retailers and restaurants, you can find free street parking along Alameda or park in the ROW parking structure for a $12 daily fee.
