Sometimes the most innovative designs come from limited spaces–like this split level house designed by and for architects Britt Crepain and Stefan Spaens of CDS Architecten. Each floor is designated for one room (level x for sleeping, level y for cooking) which acts as a substitute for doors, but the split level structuring of the house makes the entire property flow from top to bottom. In theory, this sounds like an excellent idea. Visually, it’s a feast for the eyes:
