This is a really great video documenting adventures of Thomas Campbell, through the lens of artist Alex Kopps. We are years apart, but, Thomas is a childhood friend, very close to my older brothers. Lots of great memories of Thomas as a teenager–skating, his comics (you would not recognize at all!), and all around radness. So great to see the success of his art career and all the incredible adventures life has taken him. When you boil it all down and see his art and films… his life is like surfing, in a big, perfect tube that seems to never end, along for the ride, always glimpsing the light at the end of the tunnel… it’s the best feeling ever. Seriously worth it, click here to see the video.
By the way, in Thomas’ video above, you’ll see he got Ray Barbee and The Mattson Two to perform for the opening of his Copenhagen show late last year at V1 Gallery. Below, I have a solo performance with Ray Barbee playing at The Los Desperados art show at Shelter Surf shop couple weeks ago. Ray is jamming here! This is a show that my bro and artist, Tom Vadakan put together.
