Before heading down to the FYF Festival today, stop in for a quick lunch at Philippe’s, it’s right near the festival. Had a craving the other day for their pork sandwich, hot mustard, cole slaw, and ice cold lemonade. Philippe’s claims to be home and creator of what we know as the French dip sandwich by inadvertently dropping rolls in a juice filled roasting pan. I love this place, it’s alive with over 100 year history. Sometimes it’s a bit much with with all the people lined up, but, you can’t beat the price, the saw dust floors, and old pics of LA on the walls.
