Last night was a fun fun fun night with Goh Nakamura and The Invisible Cities. We hosted them for their second Los Angeles tour date at Origami Vinyl. It was an intimate crowd and they rocked it!

Traveling non stop for the past couple weeks, beers were in order at El Prado for the after party. I can imagine it’s amazing to play live, meet your fans, and tour…. by the way, One of Goh’s fans knew he was on tour and in Seattle. He got in touch and the bands ended up playing at a fraternity party the night before in Seattle! That’s how they roll, if you have a gig you want them to play while they are on this amazing whirlwind of a tour, hit them up! As fun as the tour has been, I can also tell you, the band was super stoked for some down time, hanging with friends, and just chilling out.

It was a special edition of Origami Vinyl’s Record Club. We all brought a bunch of records and provided the soundscape for the night playing everything from The Smiths, Tribe Called Quest, Dirty Projectors, New Pornographers, Ozzy, B-52s, and Unite Future Organization.

I ended up closing the bar down, playing Side A The Clash’s London Calling. Angie, the band and friends had an impromptu karaoke session at the house. Here’s Goh, showing off his amazing karaoke voice.
