Goodbye to 2015: The Year in Review

What a year.

This year had us busy both near and far. From shows with some of our favorite artists and designers here in LA, to a pop-up in New York, a workshop in the High Desert, and a Poketo Retreat in Ojai, it was a hectic but happy 2015.

This year, we took our designs to new places, from notebooks and planners

…to iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands…

…to socks in a collaboration with RicherPoorer

…and even to a Poketo Vending Machine at Westfield Century City.

In February, we had the honor of hosting Ladies & Gentlemen Studio’s first solo exhibition, Shape Play.

Our artist collaborations continued throughout the year, with Brooklyn-based ceramicist Helen Levi later that month…

…to LA-based designer Eric Trine’s Nuevo Pacifico show in June…

…to an artist talk and installation “United Territory” with Sean Knibb, designer of The Line Hotel, in August.

Speaking of The Line… this happened:

In addition to being the home of our Outpost location, The Line also hosted many of our workshops throughout the year. From a Food Styling Workshop with Julie Lee’s Kitchen…

…to a Song Exploder workshop and Live Event at The Line with Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast a Lighting Design Workshop with Brendan Ravenhill.

This year sure took us far, from our first off-site workshop with Block Shop Textiles in Joshua Tree…

to a pop-up at Urban Outfitter’s Space Ninety 8 in Brooklyn.

With all our travels and everything that the year brought, we are still happy to call Los Angeles home and are lucky to have a great team.

Thank you all for a great year, and we look forward to the next!
