As you may have heard, Poketo curates and hosts a lot of workshops—and we mean a lot! From flower arrangements to making kimchi to branding, we thought we had seen it all until this most recent workshop. Enter Los Angeles-based designer Brendan Ravenhill and the Lighting Design Workshop.
The workshop was awesome. With the help of Brendan and studio assistant, Matt Hunt, workshoppers came in knowing nothing to little about electricity, but, they broke down the basics, simply and safely. The students put their own cord pendant together, everything from the plug, switch, cable, to socket. When they flipped the switch and saw the glow, we heard things like “I feel empowered”, “I’m inspired”, “wow”. I love that, people walking away with the know how and from a renowned designer that is generous with his expertise and vision. Here’s a little peek at what took place… and if you missed it, we will surely offer this class again, so keep updated at poketo.com/workshops.
By the way, we now have Brendan’s Cord Chandelier available for purchase at the Poketo Store! This piece you have seen in design magazines and architectural gems internationally. Feel free to call us at the Poketo store for pricing and availability.
