Los Angeles Times, front page business feature!
On December 31st, 2009, we mentioned 2010 would be a monumental year for Poketo. It would be our year, after all, it was the year of the Tiger! So many firsts this year, so much goodness, so many milestones reached. As we were going through our years in pictures, we want to share some quick snapshots of Poketo 2010. Obviously not everything, but, some memorable and important moments for us.
Some of you have been with us since 2003 and some of you are just getting to Poketo. Long time fans and new, we want to thank you all from our heart, for all of your support from the beginning and the years to come. Poketo’s mission to expose artists to the world, to make art part of the everyday, and to inspire and share the fun in life together… it would be nothing without you all being part of what we do. Thank you! We said it in 2009 and we’ll say it now in 2010, next year is going to be huge… Happy New Years!
Poketo For Target. Twenty one artists and over 50 pieces in a collection of bags, umbrellas, wallets, laptop cases, bottles, and so much more. Poketo, for the biggest brand in America. Enough said. Well, not quite… the best part was the amazing amount of love, support, and excitement from you all! Tons of pictures posted on our Facebook and Twitter from all of you, all over the nation… amazing.
And, lets not forget our awesome ice cream and national meet up we had at Target stores across the country!
“Los Angeles, I’m Yours” art show with TheFoxisBlack.com… over 30 artists and hundreds of vintage pieces turned to art. The show was the best we’ve put on yet, it seemed like all of Los Angeles came out to take in a very different kind of art show.
An incredible, free show with Portugal. The Man and a set of killer Poketo x PTM wallets. By the way, the band told me that this was one of the funnest shows they’ve played. For thousands of you that were there that night, there is no doubt you witnessed magic happen.
San Diego Comic Con… every year, crazier and busier. Such a good time to see our fans in such a fun environment. It’s our fifth year now and our favorite part is seeing our loyal fans getting older, growing up, and of course, still rocking Poketo!
2010 brought our first collection beyond graphic, artist tees and into fashion. Minimal classics we like to call it. We had so much fun putting this together and the response was amazing. Look for more seasonal pieces in 2011!
