A Designer’s Fairy Tale Wedding

A lot of girls dream of that perfect fairy tale wedding with a beautifully tiered wedding cake, a gorgeous dress to match, maybe a quintet, all tucked away in a charming chapel. It has crossed my mind. At Wallpaper.com’s archives there is an amazing wedding project conducted by some of the most creative minds in fashion, architecture and design.

Proposed by the lead designer of Issey Miyake in 2007, Dai Fujiwara gathered a group of designers to contribute to a wedding entitled, “It’s A Beautiful Day.” The lucky Finnish couple, Ulla-Maaria Mutanen (left) and Jyri Engestrom (right) were decked out in some of the most remarkable wedding gear as well as their guests:

Usually the site of the annual Alavar Aalto Design Seminars, is now the site of a “Beautiful Day.”

Flowers die. Buttons don’t—and they’re cuter too.
