Places Poketo visited on The Great LA Walk

Did the 18.3 mile walk on Saturday, the Great LA Walk. For no other reason than to explore LA on foot, I met up with Anna and Melissa and we did the walk for the very first time. We made it fun by stopping off at shops and restaurants on the way. We discovered spots that we have driven by a million times, but, on foot and a much slower pace, we were compelled to really explore.
A new breakfast spot, Local, in Silverlake
Jensen Rec Center is being renovated from the inside. I hear there will be more retail and a possible restaurant by the same owner of Cafe Stella in Silverlake.
Stories LA… a new cafe and bookshop in Echo Park
New streetwear pop up shop carrying two lines from SF and NYC.

A Green Room from Poketo on Vimeo.
This place is Santa Monica and La Brea. A crazy tree maze, full of mature, exotic trees under a greenhouse… everything for sale!! See the video walk through here.
That would be a nice place to live.
Lunch at Joan’s on Third
A quick peek in Opening Ceremony. They are having a sale right now. Nice Porter bags selection.
The Beverly Hilton is a stunning hotel…. a must see.
The Pool at Beverly Hilton in the Trader Vics Lounge. This landmark tiki bar is going to be gone soon!! A place to visit before it’s gone.
A sculpture one the wide, green sidewalks of Beverly Hills.
Here we are, finally made it Santa Monica… about 10 or so hours later.
