Over 4 years in the making, friend and artist Kate Bingaman-Burt has finally published a book of her consumption via Princeton Architectural Press. If you are not familiar with ObsessiveConsumption.com, it’s a place where Kate has been drawing and chronicling all of her daily purchases–everything from Walgreens eyewear, a can of Coke, movie ticket stubs, or a detailed credit card statement.
Her purchases may sound normal, but, when she puts pen to paper, the objects become art, the mundane become fantastic. This book seems to be a compilation of her favorite drawing, beautifully designed and a must have in your collection of art and design books. On her website only, Kate is offering a special package containing a signed copy of her book and an original daily drawing! More at Obsessive Consumption.
