What an honor to have Kevin West lead a sold out Fermentation/Preserving Essentials workshop here at Poketo. Kevin told stories of his time at Chez Panisse, shared his own techniques he developed as a master preserver, and introduced three Winter recipes from his new book, Saving The Season. Workshoppers made sauerkraut, salted cured meyer lemon, and vin de pamplemousse. After the workshop, we opened the party to the public, folks mingled around a delicious crostini station from Heirloom LA and a tasting of various Saving The Season homemade jams, all the while, Kevin signed away copies of his books.
