sad news
am very sad to discover that legendary PING MAG/ has closed after 3.5 years of brilliantly covering the most interesting aspects of urban Japan. i make it a point to check it every time i plan a trip there.
i wish there was a PING MAP for every country!

So true! I am sad as well. I just started reading their articles a couple months ago and now they’re gone! Someone needs to pick up the slack on that one. There’s still so much to learn.
hopefully they will find some funding to restart,
they do such a good job, hard to imagine anyone else filling their shoes. come back, Ping Mag, we miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
