Dublab live at The Redcat in July

The dublab.com “Tuesday Transmissions” will be vibrating live from the Lounge at REDCAT for three action-inspired weeks in a row. From Noon-8pm (Pacific Standard Time) on July 15, 22, & 29th the Labrats will offer highly-themed live broadcasts and hands-on creative action from within REDCAT’s experiment-friendly environment. These worldwide transmissions happen in conjunction with REDCAT’s New Original Works Festival and are sure to be flowing wide with fresh sounds.

We visited over the weekend. Situated on the bluffs in Pacific Palisades…. overlooking what looks like the Santa Monica Beaches. It was amazing to see this place that they lived and worked. The place was kept the same way it was left, all their furniture, collectibles, and everything still in its proper place… it looked and even smelled like a lived in home.

We were planning a blast in the next week, but, I couldn’t wait… so, here’s the goodness between Poketo and Handmade Nation. Faythe Levine is finishing up her documentary called, "Handmade Nation", about the current independent arts and crafts community, slated for 2009 release. Poketo is hosting a fundraiser for the documentary as they are in the post production phase and finishing up. Saturday, July 19th, 2008 is the event– a silent auction with over 30 artists donating their amazing work. Lots of other things planned–short screening, cocktails, music, and of course, art.
