Aaaahhhh, just popped down for a cheescake and moroccan tea latte. yes, a TEA latte. It’s been a busy first week of December, so happy Urth is right down stairs, a good distraction.

Emu, former intern and Poketo employee, is now our “unofficial” ears on the ground and Poketo correspondent. She sent us this good news!! Or is it? We had this idea years ago…. we were going to have Angie’s mom head up the Poketo bul-ko-gi Taco Truck. Looks like someone beat us to it. In any case, I can’t wait to try this, a perfect combo… korean meat, kim chi, and tacos!!

This is a pretty good business in Australia… I remember being told, “you should spend months there, buy a car, cruise the country and then ditch it when you leave.” A friend of mine, Pepa Prieto did just that here in the US. She traveled around here in a not-so-hot SUV and it ended up giving her heartache… stories of buying in Vegas and then driving to Cali, breaking down and then having to somehow get in back to Vegas. All very confusing. But, here is a solution that the Aussies figured out… have a bunch of van rentals, paint them funky, and give them to tourists to roll around the earth in. Easy target or just a fun ride? Hmmmm, I’ll take the Bart mobile for fun.

Michelle & her friend Amanda Visell opened up a workshop called Switcheroo, where they create wonderful products for their own work and artists that they admire. On Dec 6th from 7-10 pm, they will be opening up their workshop for a release party of Brass Knuckle Bob Plush. It should be a fun night so here is the address if you would like to attend the event.

You ever wonder what the top blogs in the world are? Seth Godin is always very helpful, not only giving his readers an insight into the world of marketing, but, the power of connecting, sharing, and sparking ideas with others. His blog is actually number 15. Another that I read on the list is apartmenttherapy.com and another that I just learned about is Stereogum.com, a top music download site. As always, more, more, more to explore and learn.

It was a crazy mess, people were buying food all over the place…:) We got some essentials and then had killer bbq at Shik Do Rak. A solid bbq spot, the restaurant that came up with wrapping the meat in a thin rice cake.
