I was recently up in the Bay Area, visiting the new Receiver Gallery space and doing other stuff. I was chilling, having coffee at ARC, and came accross an image and write up of Alika Cooper in the Bay Guardian. Alika’s work is distinguishable among others, as soon as I saw it, I knew it was hers. 111 Minna has a “Sketch Tuesdays” event, monthly where a few invited local artists can show off their approach to realizing final pieces.
